Okay, I am using my post to refer you to the Reece's Rainbow blog once again. (Hey, when someone does a fantastic job, it's okay to encourage others to read their work, right?) They are in my blog list to the left. You know, you might as well just click on "Follow Blog" while you are there. Their Friday Focus on Down Syndrome posts are always great!

While I disagree with the labeling of the young man as a "Down syndrome teen," I applaud the author for covering the story.
The sky is the limit for Asher, just like it is for Hannah and Belle. We are going to shatter some people's perceptions of what a person with DS can - and should be allowed to -do!

There are children all over the world in need of a family, love, and basic care. Many of these children have disabilities and are placed in mental institutions at the age of 4 or 5. In these places the children rarely live past the age of 10 and most die within the first year. Will you help to spread the word to raise funds and families for orphans with disabilities? Look a little harder and you just might find the calling for one of them to be your own. If finances aren't a way you can help, please look across their photos and say a prayer that each one will find their forever family soon. Reece's Rainbow is an International Down Syndrome Orphan Ministry which also advocates for orphans with other disabilites across the globe.
