Labor Day 2009

We spent Labor Day at home with the family. After cooking up some hamburgers and Savoie's sausage on the grill, Jeff made his mother's famous homemade chocolate ice cream. Grandpa thought Asher might like to try it, so Asher had his first ever taste of chocolate ice cream.

Do you think he liked it?

Today we had another "first": Hannah's first time on the Harley. That's Stephen's motorcycle next to Glen's. She wasn't going to ride on that one. It looks dangerous sitting still.

She had so much fun riding that she let Uncle Glen take her to Cross Country practice. (I would imagine she had the coolest ride there.)

This was not Belle's first time on the Harley. She is always asking Glen to bring her home from church on his bike. I have to admit, it's pretty fun to have your pastor and his wife pull up to your house on their Harley sporting their leather chaps and do-rags. (I am not sure about the proper way to spell "do-rag". I don't think I have ever written it before.)

A fun time was had by all - especially after Jeff served the ice cream. (Notice Asher reaching for Grandpa's cup of ice cream. I am afraid he has created a monster!)

I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day. Now, get your nose back to the grindstone!
