Alabama et al.

The Kenimers had a great trip to Alabama during the Thanksgiving holiday. We ate Thanksgiving dinner with Jeff's extended family at their lake house in Clanton, which is just south of Birmingham. The food was fantastic, as was the company. Even Asher needed a nap after such a big meal. Sure, he only ate baby food, but he ate it with gusto and sincere thanks! Gumbo was a little jealous of Asher's spot in front of the fireplace, and he promptly took over it as soon as Asher got up. I should have gotten a picture of that!

Here is Hannah visiting with Jeff's sister, Joanna, and her daughter, Ayda. Can you believe that Joanna has an eight month old baby? Look at her. If I didn't love her, I might not like her.

We left B'ham in the evening on Thanksgiving Day and traveled to Silas to visit with my side of the family. Asher got plenty of attention here, too. Here he is perfecting the "picture pose head tilt" with Aunt Pam.

More play time with Dad. I think I should get Jeff matching Batman pajamas. OR, maybe I should get Jeff some Robin pajamas and he can be Asher's sidekick.

Look at that innocent little tooth. Oh yeah, it's completely harmless by itself, but when you combine it with the other three, it becomes a deadly weapon!

Hannah killed her first six-point.

Okay, not really. Glen killed it. Hannah just posed with it. After all, isn't posing with the carcass the most important part of hunting anyway?

Here are the children of the first cousins. What does that make them? Third cousins? Whatever they are, they sure are good-looking kids.

Asher was glad to get home. He has started pulling up in his crib. He's just kneeling in this picture. Maybe it's time to lower the mattress again...

Grandpa is one of Asher's favorite playmates , especially when he is wearing his cap.

Sweet hugs.

And just for fun... doesn't this make you think of E.T.?

Have a great week!!
