This past week has been busy. My boss, Bo, rode with me on Wednesday and Thursday. (This is not officially part of the "Summer Fun" to which I was referring in the title.) I was a little stressed out about it, but at least I got to eat at Phare's in Lafayette. If you have never eaten there, you should try it, especially if someone else is paying for it. (Maybe that's why I thought it was so incredibly fantastic!)
Belle went to church camp this week with her friend Kennedy. Kennedy and her family moved to Youngsville this past year, and Belle has really missed her. They had a great time. And there's a bonus: Kennedy has twin brothers that are a little older than Asher. They are adorable and evidently a whole lot of fun!
Belle is holding Cooper and Kennedy is holding Parker.
Kennedy and Belle are hilarious together. They laugh all the time. Every girl - young or old - needs a friend like that.
When Belle and I got home, the girls insisted that Asher try out the new pool I bought for him. I think he enjoyed it even if his lips were starting to turn blue. Maybe we should have let the water warm up first...
They wanted to try letting him sit up on his own. Hmmm... We're still working on that skill. :) Of course, he could be bowing to the Mother Goddess who bought him the pool. Just a thought...
Even Gumbo was excited about the new pool. I think he thought it was a giant water bowl.
Doesn't Asher look dashing in his new swim trunks? (I typed "swimsuit" at first but decided that "swim trunks" sounds more masculine.)
I love this picture. Look at those eyes! Nothing is sweeter than baby bundled up in a towel. Of course, usually the baby is clean, bringing to mind all of those sweet smells of baby powder and Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Yeah, just pretend that Asher smelled like that when this picture was taken. I'm not sure he even got a bath after his dip in the pool. Doesn't swimming count as a bath in some cultures?
This was Hannah's idea. Look at that precious footprint. I don't like to overuse the word "precious", but it seemed to fit in this case.
And finally, just so you don't think Hannah inherited ALL of the crazy genes...
I hope you had a great weekend! Have a great week!
