ENT Update

Asher went to the ENT on Monday for a recheck. If you look back in the Blog Archives, you can read ALL about his yucky thrush episode. The thrush is gone; however, he still has fluid in both ears (not infected), and he failed his hearing test on the left ear. So... Asher will be getting tubes in his ears on July 24. Dr. Webb assures us that this is a very routine surgery, etc. and I know many people whose kids have had tubes put in their ears. Still, I wish he didn't have to have it done. He has never had an actual ear infection, just this uninfected fluid that won't drain. He also had his first snotty nose Monday, which was perfect timing since we were already going to the ENT. Dr. Webb prescribed a decongestant for that, which we have given to him once. You know, he is probably the healthiest baby I know. To be 9 months old the first time you have a snotty nose has to be some sort of record! And I think he has run a fever once or twice. We are BLESSED!

I don't have pictures from the ENT visit since my camera is still drying out (See Blog Archive - yesterday - in case you missed it. And, if you did miss it, then might I add, SHAME ON YOU!) I don't want to deprive you all of your Asher-fix, so I decided to post some of my favorites. The first few were taken by Faith Normand with her cell phone! My phone won't even stay ON. (I have the most bobo phone EVER.)

I love this expression. Asher is such a laid back kid, but he is very expressive. This is his Clarke Gable look. I am thinking that frankly, my dear, he doesn't give a ... well, you know. Either that or he's bringin' sexy back.

I have posted this one before, but Hannah showed me how to save it so it isn't a tee-tiny miniature sized photo. He certainly isn't a tee-tiny miniature sized boy!

Hannah kept Asher recently and discovered that he finds himself to be very entertaining.

What?!

Hannah told me today that if she ever has a son, she wants him to be just like Asher. And to think I worried about how his sisters would feel about him. Silly me.

Well, Hannah is taking post-bath pictures of Asher, so I guess the camera survived. You can breathe a collective sigh of relief, faithful followers! By the way, she bathed him and used her new shampoo that smells just like birthday cake. So when I say I could just eat him up, I mean it!
