Wordless Wednesday...not!

I have seen several blogs that do a "Wordless Wednesday" deal - all pictures and no words. I thought about doing that today then I realized two things: (1) The words are the part of the blog that I enjoy the most and (2) I am in total control of the blog so I can put in as many words as I want! Of course, it may never be read by anyone but me, but then again, I'll never know! On with the verbiage!

In an earlier blog I promised pictures of Asher eating his nutritious breakfast. Once again, I deliver! I may have told you before that he has never spit up (true), but I didn't say he has never spit OUT.

Eating can be exhausting. Spitting is, after all, an aerobic activity.

Here he is wiping off his little face. Actually, he is chewing on the rag. Same thing.

We always enjoy a little after-breakfast play time. He is also demonstrating his new trick: sticking out his tongue when he sees someone else do it. We may regret teaching him that one day, but for now we are really proud of him (and it's cute).

More talent photos...

I love his profile.

Here are Jeff and Asher at the "Day Before Independence Day" fireworks. We went to the high school football stadium to watch them. Look how happy and smiley Jeff is. He is happy because we weren't late. In fact, we were SUPER EARLY... just like LAST YEAR.

Here's poor Asher after SWEATING for over an hour waiting for the fireworks to start. Note to self: 9:30. Remember 9:30. Because that's when the dang thing starts. NOT 8:00.

Remember the little pool outing with Hannah, Asher, and my camera? Here's one of the first pictures:

And here's a picture AFTER the camera went for a swim.

The rest of our Fourth of July pictures look like they were taken in the fog. It does sort of lend a "Friday the 13th" quality to the photos... that and the big knife stuck in the watermelon.

The camera eventually dried out, thank goodness! Asher was definitely ready for his close up.

Here is his Jean Claude Van Damme imitation. I would love to see Jean Claude in a onesie...

And here's my little American Eagle! Thank goodness I can still dress him out of Walmart and Target. I remember the year Hannah made the leap to Abercrombie and Hollister. That was the year I made the leap to bologna and peanut butter sandwiches.

Some of you know Jeff and will be able to appreciate this picture. He doesn't just keep the yard in immaculate shape. He even labels the trash cans. And it's not "leaves" or "grass". It's official "yard waste". I am one lucky woman, and he is one frustrated neat freak.

Asher does enjoy facebook. Here he is about to find out what his ghetto nickname is. Hey, this is life-changing, important stuff!

We are going to Jeff's parents' house this weekend for a family reunion. I am sure I will have lots of pictures to share. Now that you have something to look forward to, my work here is done.

Have a great day!
