Asher's surgery

Well, tomorrow is the big day: Asher is getting tubes in his ears. It is 10:30, and I am so tired. Why am I not asleep, you ask? Good question, especially since we have to be at the surgery center at 5:45 a.m. I should go get in bed, but I have to get up at 11:30 anyway to wake Asher up and give him a bottle. He can't have anything to eat or drink after midnight, and I want to fill him up while I can! If I only have 1 hour to sleep, I have to ask myself: Is it REALLY worth it? I think 1 hour of sleep will only make me angry.

I completed my online performance management review a few minutes ago. This is the mid-year evaluation that lets us know whether or not we are on track to achieve the goals we set at the beginning of the year. Let me just say that this did not help my blahs. As you can imagine, the bizarre economy and our government's even more bizarre way of "fixing" it are making things a little difficult for those of us in sales. And for someone as goal-oriented as I am, being <100% just STINKS!!! Then again, I have a great job that is providing wonderful insurance that is helping to cover Asher's surgery tomorrow. THAT, folks, is my motivation to push harder and keep at it. :)

Say a prayer for my precious boy. I am sure I will have pictures from the whole ordeal. (The doctor said he will wake up mad and fussy. I will HAVE to get a picture of that!)

Have a great day!
