A little slice of heaven...

I had a piece of cake tonight. Big deal, you say? It was called "Tres Leches" cake: white cake soaked in sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and evaporated milk. And it had chocolate drizzled across it. IF I were to change anything about the recipe I would skip the whole milk and the evaporated milk. And maybe the cake.

My coworker recognized my appreciation for sweetened condensed milk and googled a recipe for me. You boil an unopened can of SCM for three hours until it caramelizes. Then you eat it. Actually, the recipe calls for some sort of pie crust, etc. but I ignored that part. She also said you could do this in the oven, but the can might explode. Hey, she said MIGHT. Worth a try. I think I will call this "Diabetic Coma in a Can". It may rival the "Death in a Cup" I love so much. (That's Haagen Dazs dulce de leche ice cream for the uninitiated.)

I love the dairy food group. Yea cows!
