Al Gore is beside himself with concern for the polar bear, whose population, incidentally, is on the rise. Where is the concern for unborn babies with Down syndrome who are disappearing? Imagine with me for a minute... What if someone went out and shot all the baby polar bears as soon as they were born? I mean, it would be cruel to allow them to be born into a world in which global warming threatens their very existence. Isn't it much more humane to spare the baby polar bears the suffering they will undoubtedly experience? I mean, what quality of life can they expect? And what about the poor mother polar bear? Isn't it unfair to expect her to be burdened with the baby polar bear since its outlook is so bleak? The only humane, fair, intelligent, progressive thing to do it to SHOOT 'EM ALL.

Let's see how far a politician gets if he proposes THAT.
