Heart Surgery Update - Day 3

Asher has had a terrific day. Just look at him! Can you believe that only 2 days ago, his chest was wide open? We think they will pull the chest tubes out soon, which means that he will be moved to a regular room on the pediatric floor. Jeff and I will be able to stay with him then. Not that we haven't been in his room most of the time. We just won't have to pay for a hotel room to stash our stuff in. The nurses have been good about sending us home at night to get some rest while he is asleep, so both of us feel pretty good.

Today was also a great day because Eli the miniature horse came to visit Asher. Here is a picture of Asher giving him the stiff arm. Pretty funny.

Well, Jeff and I are going to get our stuff out of the room at the Brent House and bring it over here to the pediactric ICU until we know where we will be tonight. Thank you for all of your prayers and words of encouragement. They have meant more to us than we will ever be able to express. We are blessed!
